The laughter and memories made at Brownie camp

Well it is now Wednesday and I am slowly getting over my weekend. The long weekend for me involved Girlguide Camp at Tatum park just south of Levin. There were 700 girls at this camp, ranging in age from 5 to 17. It was an amazing couple of days, lots of activities, laughter, food, talking, and memories made. We all got home happy but shattered. The girls were mostly great, some were very quirly and funny, others less so.

I now look forward to jamboree in Rotorua in 2012.

My husband does a great job while I am away, the fact they have weetbix for dinner is funny, the fact that no washing got folded is understandable but leaving a child home alone for 20 minutes is not okay, nor is taking a child in the car with no car seat. Grrr, did he do this so I won’t go away again? Is it a man’s way of saying “If you leave me alone with my children I will misbehave – don’t leave me alone”. I must note my brother is also in trouble as it was him driving the car. He got a sever telling off, i told him I expect a lot more of him. Being a Brownie leader has made me stern.

On a brighter note I went to my friends shoe opening in Auckland on Thursday night and saw and tried on all the shoes. She now has her website up and running:

On a different subject I have a little card holder on my desk with pretty cards with uplifting comments, I love it. Today it says:

We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.

I will leave you with that thought….Happy Wednesday!
